According to the law, healthcare professionals have a duty to inform patients about the Danish Patient Compensation if they believe that the patient has suffered a treatment or drug injury.
If needed, they should also help the patient seek compensation.
All authorized healthcare professionals are covered by the scheme, regardless of where they are employed and where the treatment or care takes place.
